Awesome that this is mark frost's news reporter from the first go around and it totally makes sense for Lynch and Frost.
Lynch plays Cole who, back in season 1 and 2 and FWWM had knowledge but was weird and mysterious. Now in season 3 Cole has no idea what is going on and goes 'what the hell?'
Frost plays a report who laid out plot. Now in season 3 he sees people in the woods. He goes back to Carl and reports what he saw. On top of that he also tell Carl who he saw. He didn't just say a man he said the man who lives in that trailer. He totally lays out story without mystery.
So brilliant these two people.

I had no idea that was him until I saw it here. I think it's wonderful how Lynch & Frost appear in their own creation. They must have a blast.

On a side note, Frost has written many awesome non-fiction sports books.... baseball and golf.
I read his List of Seven when that came out years ago now. That was quite a good book. Didn't he also appear in a soap opera on the television in a scene at the Palmer's house as well? I had forgotten he had played a reporter in Twin Peaks.
