One of the rationales for Welcome to Twin Peaks was to build and sustain a platform for artists of all kinds to showcase their work with as many fellow Twin Peaks fans as possible. With an ever-increasing fan base and last year being precisely 25 years after the show’s events took place, the sheer volume of Twin Peaks inspired works produced in 2014 was overwhelming, while the quality was stunning. Heck, some of you loved the artwork so much they got it tattooed, like Lil Tuffy‘s pack of gum and Emma Munger‘s Shelly Johnson pin-up!
Welcome to Twin Peaks is always thrilled to premiere masterpieces, like 2014’s retro game version of the Twin Peaks intro, The Simpsons meets Twin Peaks “group” shot, the Twin Peaks chalk mural by Justin Cozens, the Under The Sycamore short film tribute, Caleb Cleveland‘s 25 Years Later series, and more. So if you’re working on something cool or if we missed something, do not hesitate to get in touch. Many projects featured here get noticed by big sites like Huffington Post, Dangerous Minds and The A.V. Club, eg. the Ladies of Twin Peaks pin-ups, David Lynch’s Return of the Jedi trailer and the Twin Peaks Muppets.
Many pieces featured on Twitter and Facebook are worth revisiting, but here’s an overview of 2014’s most popular pieces of Twin Peaks fan art, mashups, videos, etc. based on your Likes, Shares, Comments and Retweets.
And keep them coming in 2015! Something tells me it’s going to be another big year for Twin Peaks art.
This is a great selection, and I’m happy to be included in it with my “25 Years Later” image from the forest.
