After the new Twin Peaks series ends, we’ll have more Twin Peaks to look forward to!

Mark Frost has penned a second Twin Peaks book called “Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier,” which will be released by Flatiron Publishing on October 31, 2017. Amazon has already made it available for pre-order as a 176-page hardcover and an audiobook.

UPDATE: Listen to an excerpt from the audiobook!

The crucial sequel to the New York Times bestselling The Secret History of Twin Peaks, this novel bridges the two series, and takes you deeper into the mysteries raised by the new series.

The return of Twin Peaks this May is one of the most anticipated events in the history of television. The subject of endless speculation, shrouded in mystery, fans will come flocking to see Mark Frost and David Lynch’s inimitable vision once again grace the screen. Featuring all the characters we know and love from the first series, as well as a list of high-powered actors in new roles, the show will be endlessly debated, discussed, and dissected. While The Secret History of Twin Peaks served to expand the mysteries of the town and place the unexplained phenomena that unfolded there into a vastly layered, wide-ranging history, Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier tells us what happened to key characters in the twenty-five years in between the events of the first series and the second, offering details and insights fans will be clamoring for. The novel also adds context and commentary to the strange and cosmic happenings of the new series.

For fans around the world begging for more, Mark Frost’s final take laid out in this novel will be required reading.

Pre-order is now available through Amazon US, Spain, Japan, France and Germany.

The hardcover version is also available with free worldwide delivery from Book Depository, and so is the CD version.

Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier (Cover)

UPDATE: Instead of the owl cave symbol on The Secret History of Twin Peaks, this book has got the FBI seal embossed on the hardcover. The jacket is very similar, except that it uses a recent and more gloomy photo of the falls, taken from an angle that does not center the mountains in the background. Does this mean The Final Dossier gives an updated, more accurate version of The Secret History?Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier

Is it going to be the unredacted version of the dossier discovered in The Secret History of Twin Peaks? Will it wrap things up after the new series’ conclusion in September? All we know at this point is that words like “Definitive,” “Complete,” “Entire,” and by consequence “Final” are usually not what they seem in the world of Twin Peaks.

Welcome to Twin Peaks caught wind of plans for a second volume of The Secret History of Twin Peaks early last year. The rumor was confirmed when the book’s Polish publisher, in a comment on their official Facebook page dedicated to the book, revealed that a second volume will be published “a few months after the 3rd season of Twin Peaks airs.” Turns out it’ll be out only several weeks after the conclusion of the new series on Showtime.

Any news on a UK release? There’s nothing showing on the UK Amazon. . . Please help!!!

  3. Joel Bocko says:

Not to look a gift horse in the mouth, but I kinda wish this was coming out a week or two *before* the last Twin Peaks episode. By that point any spoilers it would hold for the new series should be out of the way, and that would allow the finale to be the last Twin Peaks piece of media we get, unless of course they choose to make more (which I don’t think they will).

  4. Joe the Timelord says:

With a title like the Final Dossier, it’s looking likely that this book will serve as an epilogue to this entire series.

Does anyone know if they are going to release this on Audible too? I loved Secret History as an audio book but haven’t see anything about this latest book being released in that format.

  9. Sandra says:

When will the final dossier release in Spanish?
