The Twin Peaks Archive is an open album by David Lynch and Angelo Badalamenti with rare and unreleased tracks from both the television series as well as the prequel film. None of the tracks (or at least not in their full lenght form) were previously included in the Music From Twin Peaks, Twin Peaks Season Two Music And More and Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me soundtracks.
UPDATE: There’s no news on a physical album of the Twin Peaks Archive by Angelo Badalamenti and David Lynch, so for the time being, your best bet is to purchase and download the complete archive or its individual tracks from davidlynch.com. The current price of the entire digital download with nearly 10 hours of music is US $77, or about 36 cents per track. You can purchase the complete bundle here. Individual songs, released in 2011 and 2012, are usually $0.99, but prices vary since many of them are released in discounted bundles. Available file formats are MP3 with a bitrate of 320 kbps, or Apple Lossless.

Many tracks can be pre-listened on davidlynch.com, while rare production stills appear in a background slideshow. I’m collecting all of these photos in the backgrounds gallery, so have a peek if you want. And a fan called Ross Dudle even makes a beautiful, grungy cover design for every track! This beautiful music is priceless, and we’re damn lucky that David Lynch and Angelo Badalamenti decided to release it after more than 20 years. It’s worth every cent, so please do not download this album from sites like Filesonic, Fileserve, Depositfiles, Rapidshare, Mediafire, Filestube, Wupload, Megapload, Hotfile, Zippyshare, torrents and the like.

great if the server company has a working connection that doesnt fluctuate between 0kb/s and 500kb/s ever 3 seconds.. Taken me 3 days so far to get 50% of the album downloaded lol

I wish they’d make the website (stylish though it is) a little easier to navigate. I bought a bundle of tracks about 8 months back now, and it’s hard to know what to buy next (the bundles aren’t named in the album descriptions metadata) without duplicating any tracks. Fantastic music but they need to make that site more user friendly…

I would like to buy some of these tracks, but can’t figure out how to do it at davidlynch.com as of December 2012. Have they been removed?

Hi Ken! No, they’re still there. It’s just not the easiest site to navigate.
Go to http://davidlynch.com/index/ and click EXPLORE in the top right corner. You’ll then see the titles of tracks and bundles, starting with the most recent release.

I agree with John – I bought almost half the bundles as they came out, but the site made it too much of a chore to keep at it.
If it offered a ‘complete the album’ purchase ala itunes, one that recognized what I’d bought, and sold me only the remainder — I’d do that now.

Can’t this go on iTunes? The site is horrendous.

I hear you, Billy. I too wish they’d sell this on different platforms. But for now, it seems like Topspin is our only option.

I’d be on it like white on rice if I weren’t being forced to choose between the world’s worst two audio formats.

Thanks for giving us places to download it for free in that last sentence.
