During his daily Weather Report on February 24th, 2021, which happened to be another “clear, sunny morning in L.A.,” David Lynch gave a shout-out to all the fans around the world celebrating Twin Peaks Day on this date, which marks the exact day in 1989 when the story starts to unfold in the pilot.

Twin Peaks co-creator Mark Frost, leading man Kyle MacLachlan, and other cast and crew members have joined in on the fun the past several years, but this is the first public acknowledgment of the fan-made ‘holiday’ by Twin Peaks director and co-creator David Lynch.
This morning I was thinking about the fact that this is a day to celebrate the great fans of Twin Peaks.

Meanwhile, the cities of North Bend and Snoqualmie, WA, have once again proclaimed 2/24 as Twin Peaks Day. A huge thanks to local fan Karl Reinsch for putting this on their radar since 2018!
Twin Peaks is a small part of David’s work, but for many, me included, it is the greatest thing to know him by.
