If you’re a regular reader of Welcome to Twin Peaks, you’ve heard of Silencio a couple of times by now. For the past three years, the six piece David Lynch and Angelo Badalamenti tribute band from Pittsburgh, PA has been turning every concert venue they land into the Twin Peaks Roadhouse, Blue Velvet‘s Slow Club and, yes, Mulholland Drive‘s Club Silencio. In addition to performing the most authentic covers of the music heard in David Lynch’s work, Silencio composes original music exploring the various genres included in his soundtracks.
Silencio is Denny Karl, Matt Booth, Kirk Salopek, Lee Hintenlang, David Jamison and Dessa Poljak
On June 16th 2015, Silencio will finally release the follow up to their 2012 debut album. Today they launched a presale campaign on PledgeMusic allowing you to get your hands on the 18-track She’s Bad album (digitally or as an autographed CD), limited edition 7″ picture discs, t-shirts, or even receive your personal theme song composed by the band! And what about a living room concert at your place? You decide the setlist!
Pledge members get sneak premieres of Silencio’s Black Umbrella mini-mystery episodes before they become available to the public. And 10% of all proceeds will be donated to the David Lynch Foundation.
Check out the three four teaser songs below and then “follow Silencio behind the red curtain” to their page on PledgeMusic!
Silencio – She’s Bad
Meow.
Silencio – Surf Creep
While singer Dessa already gets your heart rate up during slower songs, Silencio’s instrumental surf rock is just relentless. So what if it’s more Quentin Tarantino than David Lynch? Let’s rock!
Silencio – Take Me With You
Let’s hope we get a “Wicked Game” kind of video for this song…
Silencio – Dark Dream
Beautiful dark.
