Anyone have any thoughts about the significance of 1956? We have the bomb in 1945, which is pinned to actual history, but then we tick forward to 1956. What's up with that? Is there an historical event in 1956 we should be thinking of? Is the passing of 11 years significant for some reason? Any ideas?
I think that remains to be discovered still, though I can speculate that showed us younger versions of characters we already know. But then it may also not. I believe it establishes the outreach of the Woodsmen infiltrating through the airwaves and affecting people's behavior. Also that matter with the insect-frog and the girl appears to imply some kind of conception or corruption.
11 years seems to have been the time needed for the Laura egg to hatch. The dugpas (charcoal woodmen) probably knew it was the time, so they decided to act too. Supposing the girl was exactly 11 in 1956 (which I find very likely), and that she probably just had her first kiss, it seems to be some kind of symbolic moment when her innocence is tested for the first time - which leads us back to Laura. Just thoughts, though.
I guess the eggs have an 11 year gestation period, yeah. hmm
I am pretty sure neither of those kids will be someone we know
Is the woodman asking for fire recites the poem to have people fall asleep so the insect could get inside the girl's mouth?? Are they "working" for the insect? Because they are helpers of the black lodge no?
If not, what do you think was the point of the "got a light" man reciting this poem?

He just wanted to have a smoke and nobody helped him so he decided to make bad things 😛 jk
At the moment i cannot decide if the moth is good or bad, or can be either and later transform to the other.
