We can see he is attracted to Beverly ( played by Ashley Judd ). Is he still married? No mention is made of his wife, though we know back then he was not faithful to her ( it's possible she finally decided to divorce him to lead a life of self-respect ).
Also no mention of Audrey, though we know she is coming into the show at some point ( maybe she is no longer as close to him as she was back then ( not that they were very close at that time ) ). They could explain her brother Johnny not being around as having gone to live & be cared for in an institution ( or even that he passed on somehow ).
I don't recall seeing or hearing much from his wife in the first two seasons. I often forgot she even existed. Hopefully she left him. I just hope Beverly figures out to stear clear of him.
As for Johnny, did we ever see him again after Laura's funeral? It seems like we might have glimpsed him but it was never important enough to remember.
Audrey was her own driving force of her own. I can't wait to see her again and learn her back story.
His wife wasn't present much, but was in a couple major scenes: the sandwich eating scene, and the final episode when he is harassing the Haywards.
