The past leads up to this moment. Prepare to return to Twin Peaks.

Showtime’s latest Twin Peaks teaser is a fast-paced recap of the Laura Palmer story [SPOILER ALERT] combining footage from the series and Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me for the first time in an official trailer. The promo video highlights several returning characters, from Big Ed to the more obscure Jumping Man, before ending with about 19 seconds of unseen footage of what appears to be Ghostwood, quite similar to the dolly shot through the trees we’ve seen in the Angelo Badalamenti tease.

Do you think we’ll see anything but the trees before May 21st?

I would say, that footage of Jumping Man was not accidental.

btw. is there any confirmation about footage from Missing Pieces – is this canon?

  2. Shawn McLoughlin says:

I don’t think he would have released it if he hadn’t considered it canon.

  3. Michael says:

All clips are from the original series. The scene from Owl Cave is as well. There is not any new footage.

you are blind or what? theres footage from fwwm(not series) and the last shot of the trees is NEW

  4. Colin Basterfield says:

When does one see the jumping man? Ads appear during the last part…

    • Colin Basterfield says:

I thought it was at the end, but I see him now – earlier. 🙂

  5. no indication that this footage of spooky trees behind the ads is from season 3. it could just be stock spooky-tree footage.

  6. Rob B. says:

Wow, BOB, wow! What a great summary of the Laura Palmer storyline. Intriguingly, there’s no footage of the Man From Another Place , who’s a pivotal figure in the original series.
