60 Caricature Artists Pay Tribute To The Late Miguel Ferrer

During the 4th annual Caricature Resolution event in January 2020, over 60 caricature artists paid homage to actor Miguel Ferrer who passed away three years ago that same month.

Initiated by visual artist Patrick Martinez in 2017, #CaricatureResolution is an online challenge with a simple concept: draw a caricature a day from a list of subjects posted for the entire month of January. This year’s edition ended a week ago and included celebrities like Kiefer Sutherland, Rashida Jones, Jeff Bridges, Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Aniston and Michael Douglas.

On the 22nd day of the challenge, illustrators were asked to share the Miguel Ferrer caricatures in their own style and inspired by the actor’s public photos or the various characters he played throughout his career, including Albert Rosenfield in Twin Peaks and Owen Granger in NCIS: Los Angeles. Below are the results.

Which of these are your favorites?

Caricature resolution 2020. So many great pieces-so many great artists! I’ve been meaning to try to participate in more of these-so late as it may be- here are some of the pieces. Great fun experimenting with procreate brushes- skipping ahead to some funner faces Loved Albert in Twin Peaks!-obviously some of these are going to be better than others!? Probably not going to finish them all!?
