Today, July 22nd, marks Laura Palmer‘s 39th birthday. Yes, it’s been that long already, but I bet she’d still look stunning if she were alive (actually, we know that for a fact).
As a tribute to the mysterious girl that started it all, I took her famous prom queen photo and created a mosaic out of it using all the still frames from the Twin Peaks pilot episode. If you look at the picture at the following sites, you will find the same photograph. Was a photograph of Cricket Coogler, New Mexico murder victim, used to represent the Laura Palmer character on the show?

It’s awesome! Is there also a printable version of it? It’ll be amazing to have a poster like this!!

Thanks! Glad you like it, Cristina! I’ve considered offering it as a print, so yeah, it might happen. You’ll hear it here first.

Wow, How did I miss this? I did the same thing a few years ago with a triptych I created for the fest. I didn’t have it alter the still’s color so much though. To me, mosaics that just overlay the bigger image and alter the thumbnails are cheating a bit.

It’s definitely cheating!
Can you show us the triptych you made?

Twin Peaks… it’s about the pie, isn’t it? Maybe that’s why you posted this on 7/22… pi approximation day?
