Stream “David Lynch: The Art Life” Soundtrack By Jonatan Bengta

“Hundred music sessions distilled into 20 tracks.” That's how Danish composer Jonatan Bengta's soundtrack for David Lynch: The Art Life came to be.

As a teen, Danish composer Jonatan Bengta (aka The m00nbird) tried to copy David Lynch’s hair style and he twang his voice similarly. He then learned how to talk like the Elephant Man and finally started to drink black coffee like Agent Cooper. Sometimes, but only sometimes, this kind of dedication pays off, because many years later, he was asked to compose the soundtrack for David Lynch: The Art Life.

“Hundred music sessions distilled into 20 tracks” with song titles like “Slow Dancing Parties” and “Tiny Bob Dylan,” referring to several memorable moments from the outstanding 2016 documentary by Jon Nguyen, Rick Barnes and Olivia Neergaard-Holm, which recently won “Best documentary in Fine Art and Photography” at the Master of Art Film Festival.

Today, Lakeshore Records has digitally released the original score on iTunes and Spotify. The artist dedicates the album to his newborn son “and his beautiful mother.”
