I play my part on my stage. I tell what I can to form the perfect answer. But that answer cannot come before all are ready to hear. So I tell what I can to form the perfect answer.
—The Log Lady
If the pole dance choreography to the sounds of the Twin Peaks theme was a testimony to the beauty of Twin Peaks, then here’s a dance solo that explores the bizarre side of the town imagined by David Lynch and Mark Frost. monoLOG, an intense 12-minute solo choreographed, performed, and soundtracked by Samuel Lefeuvre, tells the story of a man and his log. Heavily inspired by the Log Lady, the performer is “a modern oracle, relating to the audience through a maze of dark feelings and unseen presences.” The result is something you might see if a woodsman would bring the Log Lady’s log to one of those meetings above the convenience store.
What is the message he carries? How can he deliver it?
monoLOG by Samuel Lefeuvre
Upcoming performances: 15th and 16th of August at Théâtre des Brigittines in Brussels, Belgium, and September 26th at UrBANGUILD in Kyoto, Japan.
