Tom Sizemore, who played insurance agent Anthony “Tony” Sinclair in six episodes of Twin Peaks: The Return, has passed away on March 3rd after suffering a brain aneurysm on February 18th. He was 61.
The New York Times published a statement from his representative, Charles Lago:
It is with great sadness and sorrow I have to announce that actor Thomas Edward Sizemore … passed away peacefully in his sleep today at St Joseph’s Hospital Burbank. His Brother Paul and twin boys Jayden and Jagger (17) were at his side.

The Detroit-born actor has over 260 actor credits, including many classics such as Point Break, True Romance, Natural Born Killers, Heat, Black Hawk Down, and Saving Private Ryan.
Since the news of his passing, Twin Peaks cast and crew members have shared stories about working with him.
Tom Sizemore was a tremendous talent. We were lucky enough to work with him on Twin Peaks where he did an amazing job. He worked hard and wanted his performance to be perfect. He was also someone who was very nice to me, and he told incredible stories. I really liked him, and am very sad about his passing. Rest in peace.

I met him cause of Twin Peaks. He hung out with the crew on set, not us. I don’t know how fond he was of actors cause he kept his distance… talked HEAT stories with the teamsters they loved him… Seemed pretty shy and I noticed as he stood around waiting for the setup… I just thought wow… that Sizemore… He had that movie star charisma about him… He just vibrated at a different level… Yes, troubled—but he stood out. Effortlessly. He had it. Star appeal. He was one of the greats.

I remember Tom’s first day on Twin Peaks. He was so nervous he was walking around basecamp sweating. I got a call from Magda and came down to talk to him. The message was passed along, and the next thing, Tom, David, and Mark were in a room. David and Mark were telling him how much they wanted him to be there and how important he was to the show. Tom shared with me that day that Twin Peaks was the first time anyone had taken a chance on him in a long time on a production that was so big. Getting loved on that day was a game-changer for him. He had a great day and a great overall shoot. He had so much heart. Sad that this part of his journey is over.

I loved Tom’s work. I’m so glad that he got his life together in his later years. He was always an excellent actor. His contribution to Twin Peaks was incredible!
