Laura Palmer was born on July 22nd 1972.
In celebration of her birthday, I took Laura’s famous homecoming queen photo and compiled a mosaic with thousands of still frames from the Twin Peaks pilot episode.
The interactive photo mosaic below allows you to pan and zoom into the frames.
Try it, and look deep into her eyes… you might spot a certain biker boyfriend.
If you look at the picture at the following sites, you will find the same photograph. Was a photograph of Cricket Coogler, New Mexico murder victim, used to represent the Laura Palmer character on the show?

This is amazing! What a fantastic job. Thank you!
Thank you for the positive feedback, Charlie!
It’s awesome! Is there also a printable version of it? It’ll be amazing to have a poster like this!!
Thanks! Glad you like it, Cristina! I’ve considered offering it as a print, so yeah, it might happen. You’ll hear it here first.
Wow, How did I miss this? I did the same thing a few years ago with a triptych I created for the fest. I didn’t have it alter the still’s color so much though. To me, mosaics that just overlay the bigger image and alter the thumbnails are cheating a bit. 🙂
It’s definitely cheating! 🙂
Can you show us the triptych you made?
Twin Peaks… it’s about the pie, isn’t it? Maybe that’s why you posted this on 7/22… pi approximation day?
It’s always about the pie. Always.
This is amazing, very creative. I would love to have it in poster form.
