FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper…25 years, 7 months, and 3 days later.
With this appearance of Kyle MacLachlan as Dale Cooper, the countdown to May 21st has officially begun…
On June 10, 1991, in the final episode of Twin Peaks, a countdown started. Now, the end of “meanwhile” is near… https://t.co/RCmIDezBvA pic.twitter.com/hNZMs6Yy8V

And if that shot of Dale Cooper emerging from the darkness reminds you of something…

This is the first time it’s felt real for me. Seeing Cooper after so so long sent chills up my spine. So hyped.
What’s on the pin? What’s on the pin?
Looks like a bird. An owl perhaps? 🙂
Not only does it mirror that Classic shot from Blue Velvet, but The Neighbor Across the Hall appears out of the dark in exactly the same way in Eraserhead. Amazing seeing this!!!!
I seem to recall several shots like this in Mulholland Drive as well…
There’s one in Lost Highway too, with Bill Pulman coming out of the shadows in his house, right before he -apparently- goes bonkers and kills his wife.
OK, so this is a motif with Mr. Lynch. Any examples from Wild at Heart or Inland Empire?
Ok, now I HAVE to make a supercut of all these! If anyone can help me with the time codes of these scenes, I won’t have to rewatch them all. 🙂
I’m sorry, Pieter, but I own precisely none of these on DVD. 🙁 But I hope you’ll post the supercut when you’re done…
Has anyone else noticed that the main theme used in this teaser is a new version? 😀
It’s not – it a slowed down version of the original theme.
