Boys and girls, the Bookhouse is now open!

Bookhouse Ghostwood

Welcome to Twin Peaks is honored to premiere “Into the Night” today, the first single from Bookhouse‘s forthcoming debut album, Ghostwood.

The Minneapolis based jazz trio comprised of Paul Fonfara (clarinets, electronics, and… metal detector), Chris Hepola (drums and rhodes piano) and Josh Granowski (bass) started off as a side project of a band called Painted Saints. They began arranging Angelo Badalamenti’s score for Twin Peaks as they got into the TV show, and with the help of Twin Peaks fan/collector, Jamey Erickson, their work has now been turned into a full fledged 12″ double vinyl LP over two years in the making. The Ghostwood album, to be released at the end of May but available for pre-order starting today, includes 12 dark, jazzy renditions of familiar Twin Peaks music.

Without further ado, here’s the world premiere of their first single and the third track on the album: “Into The Night” with Jenna Wyse on vocals.

Ghostwood will be released May 31st, 2013 on both vinyl and as a digital download, but you can pre-order the limited edition 12” double vinyl LP with high quality audio digital download over at ghostwoodalbum.com. Check out the complete tracklist:

Looks good. The write-up implies is sounds good — but the Flash music player ain’t working on my end.
