Once again, the fashion world draws inspiration from Twin Peaks. Browse through the August 2012 edition of Elle Magazine (the one with Katie Holmes on the cover) and you’ll come across a fashion photo shoot called The Surreal World, which is completely set inside The Black Lodge.
Chic women, meet your daring side. Smart silhouettes and offbeat prints skew traditional elegance for a new take on sophistication.
Zig zag floors, red curtains, the Venus De Milo statue and those Vuvuzela-like floor lamps. Even though there’s no mention of it, the Twin Peaks influence is obvious here. Set dresser Meghan Duran has done a great job.

I love the Black Lodge as much as anyone, but what’s the point of Elle using it for a fashion spread? http://t.co/buV6eE9i
I usually associate #TwinPeaks more with flannel and oxfords, but a new fashion spread channeling it is epic anyway: http://t.co/kOhzRLy6
Couture met campy cult fiction when Twin Peaks inspired Elle http://t.co/AcFearig I think the log would approve #twinpeaks
The floor looks amazing!!! Where was it done? Is that a Sarah Oliphant drop?
Meanwhile…
Some of the get-ups are really in the vein of the ones worn by Laura/Maddy in the Lodge.
So good article, thank you
