“I was up for whatever trajectory they had Cooper on,” Kyle MacLachlan tells AP’s Frazier Moore of his eagerness to return to Twin Peaks. But the actor admits that getting back into the Dale Cooper character wasn’t as easy as slipping into a black suit.
“I wasn’t the same person that I was 25-plus years ago, obviously, and this wasn’t Cooper as he was then. His boyishness, his enthusiasm for trees and coffee and pie, his sense of fair play and his intuitiveness, those were all still part of him. But it was in a slightly different version now.”

When asked if the revival could give us even more than these 18 parts, Kyle said he thought chances were good. “Whether David and Mark feel compelled to write them, I don’t know. But I think he has more stories.”
Let’s not jump the proverbial gun yet and, for now, just enjoy whatever comes at us between May 21st and September 3rd!
