Want to preview an instrumental piece of music you’ll hear soon enough in the new Twin Peaks?

But hang on.

Despite its ’80s synths and touch of melancholy, this is not an Angelo Badalamenti composition.

In a tweet on Sunday night, Johnny Jewel’s manager hinted that the 83-second collaboration with Symmetry, called “Television Snow” will be part of the new soundtrack. And so will a number of other songs on Johnny Jewel’s “Windswept” album to be released May 10th. Take a look at the tracklist below and you’ll notice some of the titles clearly relate to Twin Peaks. Ruth Radelet, who’s in the band Chromatics with Johnny Jewel, is on the official Twin Peaks cast list. This video was filmed in Prague, directed by Rene & Radka and edited by Chromatics. But close your eyes and this music will easily conjure up something otherworldly. And regarding the title, remember the opening credits to Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me?

Powerful track. There’s a certain majesty to it. It’ll fit into a damned good scene.

I am praying J. Jewel releases the instrumental version of Saturday. I’m in love with it–moreso than the vocals version
