As Usual, David Lynch’s MacDowell Medal Acceptance Video Goes Completely Haywire

David Lynch is this year’s winner of the Edward MacDowell Medal in the Arts, a prize bestowed by the venerable MacDowell Colony for artists. Since 1960, the MacDowell medal is given annually to an artist “who has made an outstanding contribution to American culture.”

Due to a previous commitment, the 58th Edward MacDowell Medalist could not be on hand for Medal Day at the colony based in Peterborough, New Hampshire, so he made a video greeting like only David Lynch can.
