In celebration of Blue Velvet‘s 25th anniversary (which coincides with a Blu-Ray release featuring plenty of deleted scenes), Projekte is looking for both 2D and 3D art inspired by the ’86 David Lynch film. Artists worldwide are invited to submit their work for a Blue Velvet exhibit that will take place from November 1st until the 20th this year, at their art gallery in Wilmington where the movie was filmed.
I know a lot of artists are reading this blog, so if your work relates to Blue Velvet or any of its themes (eg. sexual deviation, small towns, psychological abuse, loss of innocence, amateur investigation, and suburban dysfunction), send up to five .jpg images to [email protected] before September 30th 2011 and you’ll be considered for the exhibition. Good luck! And let me know if you get selected.
