See article on this site. He's a tin machine! Lynch told us something!

Aww, that almost makes me sad. The tea kettle was quite endearing.
Ok, so Jeffries is not a tea kettle, he's a machine and Lunch laments sculpting the "spout thing" in a kettle fashion instead of straight. Fine. BUT THE GUY COMMUNICATED THROUGH STEAM COMING OUT OF HIS NOT-TEA-KETTLE SPOUT! Come one David! What did you think the interpretation would be?!
I hear you Brandy. The teapot had a certain charm because Bowie was British, and I do love tea. The thing that I like about this revelation is that I felt that David Bowie as Jeffries should not be immortalized as a kettle. I like the idea that he is a machine because I think it fits with his living self and his body of music a bit better. Steam comes out of machines too. I think Lynch must have felt strongly that seeing Jeffries as a teapot was wrong, otherwise he wouldn't have said anything. Wish he'd tell us about the ending!

Lol right?! He wants to explain that Jeffries is NOT a tea kettle dammit, but won't divulge or answer any of the big questions.

Maybe this is the NEW Lynch who wants us to understand things. I have often thought it would be hilarious if Lynch turned out to be someone on this forum. Maybe he knows how badly we want answers!

Maybe he was one of those people who had the wild theories that turned out to magically true because really they were spoilers disguised as conjectures.
Or maybe he's really Detective Sam.......

That's what I was thinking!
It's appropriate that he's portrayed as a tin machine, since they were touring at the time Bowie filmed his sequences for FWWM.
I guess Lynch - and possibly Frost - thought it was an appropriate tribute. Bowie would have probably laughed himself daft about it.
Now that his secret identity has been revealed, he better start explaining stuff!
Hah! You'll never make me talk! Never, you hear me?
Anyhow, I only mentioned the touring thing; I didn't expect the Spanish Inquisition.
Notice how you just have to mention Detective Sam and appears. 🙂
