WOW so those of us who did not like the finale must now be segregated from the more "enlightened" on the forum?
Guess our opinions triggered you.
I think the use of the term "segregated" to describe a separate twin peaks blog is a little awkward. I mean, David Lynch having his only black character as an escort is already awkward enough...
Ahhh I knew it wouldn't be too long before the social justice community chimed in
I think a lot of them will filter themselves out, while we will continue to discuss a very interesting show.
I suspect there may even be a competition for who hated it the most and who has not enjoyed a single minute... 😉
Yes, I've noticed. I don't understand the "I've wasted 17 Sunday nights!!" posts - um-- how could they not realize they weren't into it before the finale?---- Well, there are always some people who like to have a competition to see who can hate something the most - a movie, a band, a TV show, anything with some prominence which has fans. It's an odd way to spend time. They thrive on negativity I guess. Something like angry kids acting out because they enjoy the attention it gets them, even though it's negative attention and they actually just want love.
I am not sure why you would equate not liking the finale with someone not liking the episodes preceding such - I think that those of us who disliked the finale enjoyed the ride along the way and were disappointed with the finale - as for me - I will treasure Episodes 1-16 and ignore 17&18. I do not feel as if I wasted 18 hours - but I feel like I wasted 2 hours last night.
And, like you said - there are always people who compete to be the ultimate "hater" just like there are always people competing to show how much they "understood" the meaning of something compared to the rest of us
Circle of life.
There actually were people going on about how they'd wasted 18 hours etc - that's why we mentioned it. It's nothing to do with people who didn't enjoy the finale - and all to do with the people slinging insults about and popping up and saying 'well, I've told you all along it was rubbish, but you are all _________'
If folk are angry & annoyed - that's fair enough & they can have a good rant - but at the moment some of it seems to be directed at other posters.
And phrases like 'Guess our opinions triggered you?'
Really??
