The episode released in Germany had a voice actor credited as the Experiment, so that had to be the thing inside Sarah.

Thanks for catching this. It seems to confirm the theory.

I'd bet there are a lot of people who would prefer to not read that.

The German broadcaster would not have listed a voice actor for the role without Showtime's knowledge.

Just like they aired episode 14 prematurely.

Not the same scenario.

Any show that dubs voices are supplied with the script along with the characters and the actors that say those lines. Where else would the dubbers get the idea that it is the experiment unless it was specified in the script they were given?

I know it is not the same scenario.  This is the second time a German broadcast has issued spoilers to what we viewed in the US.

It seems like the US/English version leaves this as a mystery this episode.  If DL/MF intent was this was to be a mystery at this point, I would have appreciated care to be taken to retain that mystery in other language broadcasts.

Thinking about it, I see two possible scenarios:

The first is that the script did not mention the experiment, and that the German dubbers simply assumed that it was. Maybe the German actor dubbing Sarah could not get the voice right so they decided to use another voice actor. They credited the actor as the experiment because they assumed that was the thing inside Sarah, even if the script did not say so. But that would have been presumptuous and risky on their part.

The other scenario is that someone at Showtime made a mistake, and included a note stating that the thing did possess Sarah.

True but it really doesn't matter. We still don't know who is in Sarah because there is no reason to believe the German credits have it right, or that it even refers to what we are talking about.

Assuming mother/experiment was the thing in the glass box, and it escaped and somehow made its way inside Sarah’s body.

If mother has been trapped in it, then what is the frog insect? If that thing grew up to be the experiment inside Sarah (assuming she was the young girl), then there’s no way it could have been in the glass box.

Because the girl with the bug frog wasn't Sarah.

Well... woodsmen crush people's heads... entities that can inhabit other bodies... does not seem to have 'abilities', like Sarah's yarará-jugular attack... but Mother tends to kill that way, the only time that we saw her in action anyway ?.

I second that the mother of Laura and the mother of BOB, are now one and the same ? or at least partners in crime. May I say that I was always into the idea of her being a gifted more than a damned. But you know what the woodsman said... this is the water and this is the well... DRINK FULL AND DESCEND... the horse is the white of the eyes and the darkn within.. She did drink full ?, married BOB and gave birth to Laura... and aswell she have seen the white horse. The poem may not be about her... but 2 much coincidence for maself.  The water, may be her beloved Smirnoff. Idk just a thought.

The Experiment is a distinct entity. The one that appeared in the glass box in NY was Experiment Model. We have had discussions in this forum on whether or not Experiment and Experiment Model are separate entities. I think they are: Think about how many eggs she birth-puked.  The girl in part 8 was a singular portrayal of an event that likely happened in several places to several people. Is that particular girl important? Possibly, but I don't think that she necessarily is. I like to think of folks that swallowed the moth-frogs as vessels or hosts for Experiment. They have become her children and may even metamorphose into models of her when she wants them to. At any rate, doubtful that we'll get an answer with regard to moth-frog girl in part 8, but that doesn't mean that Sarah didn't swallow one (I think she did).

Without Smirnoff, she points.

Great theory!

Whatever it is, it's spreading like a plague: Sarah, the puking girl in the car and possibly the drunk.
