In these alternate takes, Miguel Ferrer delivers several unscripted lines when Dana Ashbrook (Bobby Briggs) and Mädchen Amick (Shelly Johnson) exit the interrogation room. The one that ended up in the episode is the instant classic, “Get a life, punk!” When he then updates Michael Ontkean (Sheriff Harry S. Truman) and Kyle MacLachlan (FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper) on Windom Earle’s latest shenanigans, you’ll notice some geographical differences between the script and what was eventually added as a voice-over to the insert shots.
