Sometimes I won't open a gift for months, years even.  I just like the pretty box to be there with my name on it.  Maybe it already is wonderful and strange.

This is a lot like Schrodingers cat...as long as you don't open the present it has all the potential to be both wonderful and strange.  As soon as you open it, voila!  You find yourself in Odessa Texas with a lot of explaining to do...
