When the fireman watches the screen, he pauses it on the Bob orb and then floats up and the golden glitter forms above him. I believe it forms a mushroom cloud with a good golden orb the opposite of the Bob orb.
At the radio station it is 10.15 pm. Is that significant?
We know that the platters song plays here and also during Coop and Dianes sex scene. So I think we are supposed to find some sort of correlation. But what? The girl, Sarah is infected with the egg of Judy. Diane or Linda receives Coops seed.??
I believe their sex experiment only half worked and Diane turned into Linda but Coop didn't turn into Richard. He is puzzled by the letter and the motel.

Yes, I am pretty convinced that it is Laura's smile. The blackened finger links to what Cole says about the "spiritual mound" - now, you think about that Tammy!
If the sounds are from the diary scene, they were clearly manipulated. I would need a bit more to be convinced on that one. I also recall someone arguing that they were manipulated from the sounds of the slot machines at the casino. It would be nice if they would just tell us the source at some point.

Yeah. I just grabbed the image from Gisela's article, which Chris linked to above. It's worth a read. I don't agree with everything, of course, but it's something interesting to think about!
That raises some questions. Is Sarah bedeviled by Black Laura, or by Judy? Could those conceivably be the same thing? And would Black Laura be the painful memory of a lost child all filthy with garmonbozia, or would Black Laura be the original evil which is the whole reason Laura was sent here in the first place? Is it more correct to say just Laura(/Judy), and then later there's White Laura as the counterbalance?
Or did they just have a handy photo of a smile that would work in a pinch? nah...

I read the article and I think the author is making some very long reaches, especially with the theory about the hand. Those pics don't reflect each other in my opinion.

Indeed. But the toothy smile has always been particularly creepy and out of place to me. Doesn't really make sense so it being Laura's smile from the pic makes total sense. I just don't know that it's the reality.
