I have a funny feeling that Evil C went to Diane's house that night and sexually assaulted her... At least I thought that till the text message.. Now the only thing I know is that I AM NOT YOUR FOOT! LOL Slowing losing my mind.. One episode at a time...
Is she the billionaire?
One of the most interesting moments in the episode.
I was under the impression that Mr. C—under the guise of Coop—had visited Diane's house and seduced her. I think Diane felt betrayed by him for hoofing it afterwards, hence her reaction in the prison. Could Mr. C be blackmailing Diane somehow a la Warden Murphy? If so, what does he have on her, and what does she have to talk to Gordon about? Text message was definitely code for something – in the same vein as: "the cow jumped over the moon".
Gordon takes a drag off Diane's cig and says, "Whoa... We used to smoke together way back when, you remember?" Diane answers, "we sure did Gordon"
I think perhaps Gordon just learned Diane's reply was a lie. He said what he said to draw out a response and she didn't give the correct one. I wouldn't have been surprised if his next statement would've been, "Fuck you Diane, who are you, really?!?"
On a lighter note those looks Gordon was giving Diane's cigarette are all too familiar and painful as an ex-smoker haha
He was missing his fix, had to put in a scene where he gives in & takes a drag.
Beats me why he doesn't just get an e-cig and vape, like the rest of us earthlings.

I had wondered that myself, it seemed like an odd thing to ask otherwise. Did anyone else notice how Diane sat down in the morgue ? Is it possible she is either a transexual or transvestite ? If so, why would it even matter ? I just thought it was a bit weird that even though she was wearing a skirt she sat down like a dude, full-on man-spread action.

An interesting take. I guess we'll see in due time. Either way, Diane getting the text message was definitely unexpected and troubling.
Diane doesn't receive the same message from Mr. C. The message he sends out is in all lowercase letters and doesn't have a comma after "table". The message Diane receives is in all caps and has a comma after "table". See photo with pics.
{snip}there's a few things wrong with that actually, Mr C's phone says it's an MMS he's sending and unless he's attached a video, sound file or picture it should be an SMS. Also, above the MMS indicator you can see (2/2) which indicates a two part message. You can never say for sure with Lynch but I would err on the side of this being an oversight by props.
I think the first file would be the actual phone conversation that he just got

I think it's more in keeping with her "I don't give a damn" character. There's no reason why a woman would sit with her knees together, other than social conditioning.
It's clear she doesn't know who sent her the text as the phone says 'Unknown' as the sender.
I took her silence before giving Gordon the cigarette as a time in which she was pondering if she was going to tell him about the message (and perhaps "have that conversation") or not. And she ended up deciding not to. Maybe she will try something on her own, or she will say that if something triggers her, like more info on Mr. C. Either way, I don't think she's on the bad side at all. I mean, the confrontation with Mr. C in prison... I'd be really surprised if she weren't the real thing.
A couple of things I wondered about... When Tammy kept changing position/ sending a code, she kept looking at Diane as if she expected a response - but wasn't getting that. That would fit in with Gordon Cole's 'test' of smoking back in the day - and it not being the real Diane.
Also, the lively table message could have been relayed on by Cole (don't ask how the original BadCoop message would have been passed to him, as I have no ideas!) The reason? It was SHOUTED. Maybe she was supposed to recognise it was from Gordon as it was shouty??
