( hit & run ) : It looks like Carl sees the child's spirit leave. The woman who just left the RR saw it, and clearly saw who was driving the truck. Guessing she'll turn him in, and he gets arrested. IF he is Audrey's kid, that could lead to her entrance on the show.
We see a shot of trailer park power pole #6 ( as seen in FWWM ) panning up to the top, and sounds indicating Black Lodge connection. Definitely NOT a boring episode as some people are saying.

Not boring at all;

also, woman who saw his face is credited as Miriam Sullivan, all we know is that she works at school, loves pies and leaves too big tips; she is served by Heidi, German waitress from old TP, always giggling...glad to see her back

Did I hear wrong (no subs available for me) or the Gangster/Druglord said to Richard he could 'pick the rest of the dope from Miriam' ? Then in the RR we see Shelly and Heidi talking about how Miriam shouldn't be tipping so much. If I heard correctly, she's not turning anyone in...

The accident is a 'copy' of this scene from FWWM:

He mentions that the rest will be at Marry Ann's, at least it was written like that in the subtitles

Damn, I thought he said Mary Ann as well. But in the RR scene I thought they called the woman Mary Ann too, but then saw no Marry Ann in the credits and I guess I might have stretched it into believing I heard Miriam.

Hmmm, weird. Hope it's Miriam anyway, although the subtitles are probably correct :P.

Indeed a copy, including being at the same intersection 25 years later.  Hard to tell because there is no blinking stop light now, but the brick facade of the building on the left is the same.

Moreover: the overlapping location 1989 - 2014 may be suggesting a link between Twin Peaks way back when (LP + Leland + OneArmedMan) and Dear Meadow 25 years later (Fat Trout trailer park + Harry Dean Stanton)? In the 1989 scene there's a senior citizen crossing the street (who doesn't die), now a young kid (who IS killed). In 1989 it was One Armed Man speeding in a camper, now it's Richard Horne speeding in a truck. In 1989 it was the place where a spirit (BOB-in-Leland) manifested itself; in 2014 we see the soul levitating from a road rage victim...

The traffic light is missing, and see what happens

With the dime in Richard's mouth: for some reason I thought it was him completely out of his mind on drugs.   His minds wanders during the dime flip and he thinks it ends up in his mouth, but it's already landed in Red's hand.

Also Red makes me think about Nick Cave's Song "red right hand"

"Take a little walk to the edge of town

and go across the tracks
Where the viaduct looms,
like a bird of doom
As it shifts and cracks
Where secrets lie in the border fires,
in the humming wires
Hey man, you know
you're never coming back
Past the square, past the bridge,
past the mills, past the stacks
On a gathering storm comes
a tall handsome man
in a dusty black coat with
a red right hand

He'll wrap you in his arms,
tell you that you've been a good boy
He'll rekindle all the dreams
it took you a lifetime to destroy
He'll reach deep into the hole,
heal your shrinking soul,
but there won't be a single thing
that you can do
He's a god, he's a man,
he's a ghost, he's a guru
They're whispering his name
through this disappearing land
But hidden in his coat
is a red right hand

You don't have no money?
He'll get you some
You don't have no car?
He'll get you one
You don't have no self-respect,
you feel like an insect
Well don't you worry buddy,
'cause here he comes
Through the ghettos and the barrio
and the bowery and the slum
A shadow is cast wherever he stands
Stacks of green paper in his
red right hand

You'll see him in your nightmares,
you'll see him in your dreams
He'll appear out of nowhere but
he ain't what he seems
You'll see him in your head,
on the TV screen
And hey buddy, I'm warning
you to turn it off
He's a ghost, he's a god,
he's a man, he's a guru
You're one microscopic cog
in his catastrophic plan
Designed and directed by
his red right hand"

Isn't in this intersection where one of the classic Traffic Light shots is located? We do hear the sound the Giant referred to in Part 1 when the light turns Red (RED!). Then after Richard meets with Red (RED!) he runs over a child at the very same intersection.

Not 100% sure it's located there, but I am 90% sure.

In that scene Bob in Leland guns the engine, and yells so Laura can't hear what Mike is trying to tell her.

Something that struck me on 2nd viewing of the episode is how Richard goes "Kid? I'll show you kid", then 2 seconds later he runs over a kid. And reacts like a kid about it. He even covers his tracks like a kid would, no respect for anything, not even his own ass (wipes the truck and throws the evidence to the ground, really?). It could be because cocaine, sure, but Richard IS clearly a kid. And a fucking disgusting one.

I see it's fixed now, but I bet a lot of people came in to this thread just to see what accident Ben was in? I know I did, lol. So, great marketing scheme!
