Hi all,
I'm a bit confused about what happened in south dakota with the principal and his wife.
Until the last episode, i thought BOB possessed the principal when he murdered the girl and after that he possessed his wife so he wouldn't be stuck in jail i guess. Then bad coop killed the wife recognizing BOB in her (why? i don't know).
But after last night, we find out that BOB stayed with bad Coop all this time (or not?), so what happened?
I hope I'm making sense 🙂
Helloooooo!
So.. the principal dreamed about the scene of the murder but he dont remember doing it but his fingerprints are everywhere, maybe he was possessed by Bob (like Leland was) or another evil spirit. His wife most probably had something to do with it, then Evil Coop killed her, the reason i dont know either.. In the prison when Evil Coop looks at the mirror he is transformed as Bob, so Bob still possesses Evil Coop but does not have total control of him i guess.
It's more complicated. Principal Bill is accussed of double murder; George (his lawyer) has affair with his wife Phillys; Mr. C used lawyer's gun to kill her. I'm not sure mr. C killed Phyllis because he recognised BOB in her. I think he wanted to set up George so he cannot represent Bill in court. We know mr. C wants (he doesn't need anything) some information from principal secretary and wants Ray to get it.
From the talk between Bill and Phyllis we know that principal had strange dream that he was at Ruth's (the librarian) home so he may be somehow connected to the Lodge. If BOB is still with mr. C is it possible other spirit can posses humans to kill?
Things become more complicated after ep 5 when we find out that decapitated body has mjr Brigs finger prints and Dougie's ring is found in it's stomach...

So you think Bob could have possessed the principal then went back in Mr C?

Oh i didn't get that Mr C wanted Georges out of the picture so he couldn't represent the principal.
I only watched each episode once but i remember that when Mr C. sees the wife he says something like "you did well pretending to be human" or something like that. This is why i thought he saw Bob in her.
Anyway, can't wait to find out about all that!
I think BOB has been with Mr. C all along. Heck, Mr. C is pretty much Cooper with Bob's hair, dirt and meanness (although downright madness and cruel humor seem to be missing so far). And I definitly think Mr. C is responsible for the murders Principal Bill is arrested for, but I have no idea how he made Bill dream about it, if Bill was really used for/involved in the crimes or even if he is anything more than a genereic piece in the framing of Dougie-Coop. But if Mr. C. already has a lot of hitmen to kill Dougie-Coop, why would he even bother to do all that?

Well explained. Also everyone remember the creepy BOBlike man who's head floated away out of a separate cell. I read an interview with Lynch after the first four episodes came out where he said we would see a lot more of that character. Maybe he is another character from the black lodge who possessed the Principal.........???

I forget the exact wording, but it was along the lines of "You did well, your human behavior is as I predicted." Meaning her lashing out at her husband. When she first sees him she says,"what are you doing here?" - Mr. C. was the other guy besides George she had fooled around with that her husband was vaguely aware of.
I believe the exact wording was "You followed human nature perfectly" - which leaves room for a lot of different interpretations.
It's true i forgot that the wife fooled around with someone else than Georges, and about the strange man in the other cell.
So i guess, Bob stayed all along with Mr C.
I'm wondering why though, because i always thought the fun for Bob was to possessed "good" people and play with them, pervert them etc. But Coop doppelganger is already a bad guy no? Then why would Bob wants to stay with him? Maybe he has no choice...
aaaaah so many questions! 😀
Cooper would not allow Bob to take him over, so Bob got around that by sending out a doppelganger, and using that to fool people in our world and manipulate them.

BOB didn't use Cooper identity to pretend eveything is normal, good Dale and use it to trick people. Instead he left Twin Peaks and FBI and was missing for 24 years, living criminal life.
