Around the dinner table, the conversation was lively. Thank you but for now, the forum has been archived.
Hey guys,
Part 3&4 almost convinced me that Dougie's behaviour was the consequence of a sort of erasing-memory process caused by 25 years spent in the Lodge.
But watching episode 5 added some feeling to that conviction: the more I was looking at Dougie's scenes the more he was reminding me of the old GN's waiter, aka the Giant's doppelganger.
Did anyone else have the same feeling?
Has Cooper finally "become" a 100% inhabitant of the lodge? Maybe what we are watching is the way spirits react to our world: from episode 3 to episode 5 the only moments we saw Dougie/Cooper capable of focusing and listening was when he was having visions (not dreams anymore) of Red room's characters, scenes or manifestation.
Wait a minute... Cooper's room number, 315...
Weren't 3 and 15 the numbers on the power points in Part 3 when Cooper interacted with Naido and the American Girl, prior to his return to our world?
Exactly.. and 15 (3 pm) is also the time that Cooper and Mr.C were supposed to swap: time that the Red Room open its passage.

I actually thought that Sonny Jim was inhabited by the Giant because of his spontaneous "Thumbs up". Thoughts?

I too considered this idea! And there are even more similarities : in both situations Cooper is in helpless condition, the (waiter/kid) don't do anything to help him, thumbs up (how do they know it's Cooper's thing unless they are from Black Lodge?)...
I hoped that we would be shown the giant in the 5th episode but it didn't happen. So these are just speculations...
