Yeah they did a really nice job. As I mentioned in the "sync" thread the most stunning thing for me is the way that Cooper clearly seems to be reacting to Sarah's removal of Laura's photo:

There's an overlay sync version, as well, which I like even better than the side by side or over/under. Whoever edited it together did a nice job with it.

It really is very strange when you watch them overlaid - a lot of the long, 'boring' scenes match up with activity in another episode. Naido & the drunk guy making noises matches with Cooper & Diane talking etc - and it explains Laura's scream at the end...
I've been troubled all week since the end of Episode 18. It seemed to completely obliterate the last 25 years of Twin Peaks. I was upset, and it really bothered me.
However, since these sync posts have started to appear I have just watched episodes 17 & 18 simlutaneously and it all makes sense to me now ! I have finally found peace with the greatest TV show ever made. We will never witness anything like this again. Awesome.

I wonder... Sheryl Lee was credited in every episode, and I'd assumed that it was financial reasons as I knew she'd been ill etc. But what if she does actually *feature* in every episode - using an overlay.
I must say, I find the idea of someone at Showtime saying 'It makes sense if you do WHAT??' really amusing! 🙂

Good Cooper is synced with the 'truck drivers' in Judy's diner, while Truman is sitting like the final Cooper. Also when Cooper says 'I dont know if the oil is hot enough to set off those bullets, but I would stand away if I were you', we see Candie come up and talk about the sandwiches.....reminiscent of the kid in New York who said 'I dont know what your going to do if the guard comes back...', (hint is that Dougie/Cooper had an affair with Candie during that party with Mitchums after the melancholia pie scene); the new Cooper talking about the oil is more skeptical/negative here than the kid in New York(who he was originally trying to enter, but the kid was dealing with Tracey, so moved to Dougie/Candie)....final Cooper is more skeptical/negative(has met Judy thanks to MIKE and Jeffries), thus the advantage over the 'good' Dougie/Cooper, who may have gone with Candie and joined with the Micthums criminal group, endorsed 'Odessa/truck driver/rancho rosa life'......instead we get back to the dreams of Twin Peaks, shattered by the Laura tragedy(Sarah Palmer smashing the picture, then Laura's scream, etc.), the lady vanishes from nature, the world spins.....horror of life and the negative/Judy dreams return...
Whoever synced this, can probably find that other episodes are synced as well....maybe 1 and 2 with 3 and 4, 5 with 6, etc....this really reveals a lot of clues/solutions.........also, the difference of the 'two birds'/two Coopers, naive Dougie vs. the final Cooper who has met Judy, is the how to read the difference, one is skeptical, looking to the mystery, investigation, while other is following along as Dougie, in life, etc.....
For instance, when MacLay finds the clue in Hastings trunk, the chunk of flesh, at the end of 1 and beginning of 2 is the same time as Dougie is hitting all the Jackpots at the end of 3 and beginning of 4(MacLay hit the jackpot, hastings guilty)
The overlay sync video that was uploaded above made me go nuts! I have to watch it again - unfortunately it got deleted from youtube before I was able to download it.
If anyone out there has an idea where to find this masterpiece, PLEASE let me know. I am really desperate. Seeing how stuff matched up was absolutely astonishing to me and I am gutted that I wasn't able to save it...
