The Secret History of Twin Peaks gave us insight to the Blue Book Project. It also helped piece together a lot of season 3. Particularly the sections pertaining to Parsons, Crowley, Hubbard, and the references about the Moonchild. I suspect the final dossier will cover the Blue Rose Project. Which should focus on characters like Lois Duffy, Teresa Banks, Chet Desmond, and many others we may or may not be familiar with. It will probably deal a lot with Philip Jefferies as I assume the dossier was complied by him and possibly Gordon. We could find out more about Cooper's plan from 25 years ago.
I hope you're right!

Hi Myn0k,Edit - hey, Pieter, if you're reading: should we add a Final Dossier forum thread to avoid spoilers? 🙂
I agree with this - the format could be each chapter of the book could be a section just like all the Parts were for the show.
The discussion would naturally range well beyond Twin Peaks - all you have to do is glance at The Secret History to realize that - but I think it would be fun!
😉

Great idea! It'll keep some momentum in the forum too 🙂
Also, we don't want every other post to be someone going:
"But it's not canon. It's not canon! IT'S NOT CANON!"

Speaking of which, whatever happened to Deputy Karen?
I suspect the very chance that it had all been a dream probably sent her into uncontrollable paroxysms of apoplexy. =:-O
If you're out there Karen: JUST KIDDING!!! 😉

paroxysms of apoplexy
Now that's a phrase you don't hear banded around too often. I for one would like to hear it more often!

You forgot uncontrollable. 🙂
Now that I think about it, it should have been:
uncontrollable apoplectic paroxysms,
better known as UAPs. 😉

I read "The Final Dossier" when it was still in galley. Turns out it is a cookbook with recipes for all food served at the RR Diner.

Was it subtitled To Serve Man ? 😉

I don't expect it to shed much light on the biggest mysteries (i.e. everything in Part 18), but I do think it will tell us something about Audrey. When you're a major character from the original show, barely survive a bank explosion, give birth to the spawn of Satan, and eventually land in some mysterious nowheresville, you pretty much have to be in the book. 😉
That's about the best case scenario--if the most resolution we get is what happened to Audrey that alone will help me feel better about all the rest of the non-resolution of the season/series.
I'm hoping that we learn something about the plan. If we know what the plan was supposed to be, it might be easier to understand the ending.
I need more than Jeffries is not a kettle.
Hi Nando,The best theory I have about Audrey is that she had no participation this season except being Richard's mother, just being quoted, on the plus, she was playing the actress herself, where Charlie was probably David Lynch, the scenes that they star in would she be the actress wanting participate in this season and Lynch arguing with her about it. when she wakes up she is in the dressing room still without makeup and indignant that she did not participate in the season. It is the best way to interpret all the scenes that she appears.
I like this idea.
Lynch portraying himself as being small for the way he treated the character (and maybe the actress, too). =:-O

Interesting idea. Lynch and Frost always act as if the characters have a life of their own, as regards the exclusion of Josie from the series--David said that he really wanted to fit the character in, but couldn't. Sherilyn Fenn is an interesting person and her relationship with David seems strong, but a bit different than the others (like Kyle, Laura, HDS, etc.) who are part of his inner circle of actors. We know that Fenn's story in the original series was affected by real-life events and alliances--mainly that Kyle and Lara Flynn Boyle were dating and LFB was causing tension on set because of the screentime that Kyle was getting with Sherilyn. Interesting that LFB is now out, and Sherilyn is still in the show. The writing out of Donna seemed very pointed--it was definitely as if she never existed. Audrey in addition to being a fan favorite seems to have created a soft spot for Lynch--weaving her into this series was an act of heroism I think, as it was definitely a difficult fit, at least in the way he did it. If you look at Sherilynn's Twitter feed, it's unusual for an actor, very religious. She's been through some real life changes for sure. I also noticed that while the other actors follow each other, they tend not to follow her Twitter although David does and he promotes her children's book. So she is a bit of the outsider in real life as well as in the series.
