the ending was .. I'm driving to your house and punching dead in the face.. that's how angry I am I am right now .. that sucked .. let's get into why that sucked ..
first off, as much as I hated Annie .. and I hated Annie .. not even a question to where the hell she is?? But your running off to have sex with Diane??
and please someone explain Richard and Linda to me cause I just did not get it at all..
sorry but no season 4 for me.. I'm good

Just dial 1-1-9! 1-1-9! they'll know how to find me. ?
Yeah I mean the end was insane. So perfect. Lynch drags you the whole episode and you start freaking out because the amount of time left and then bam. He does it again. As frustrated as I was the bulk of part 18, the ending made me love it and hate myself for loving it.

??? that was a good one!! I'm not even going to lie .. ??
I don't blame you. I didn't like it either. Mostly because it reminded me of Mullholland and Inland.
spectacular ending 😛
I think the Return was ok. I definetly prefer Season 1 and the first half of Season 2 over this new show.
I feel your pain about the last episode. I was disappointed too but after sleeping on it I think I simplified it.
I think it is left up to us for our interpretation. Was it all a dream in Dales head and he woke up in that hotel as whom he really was (Richard) and couldn't accept it was all a dream?
Is it because he went back in the past and intervened in Lauras death and caused a timeline rift that trapped him in a different reality? Laura screaming as if she finally remembered at the end hearing her moms voice makes the people leaning toward this theory feel like they are right.
I myself would have preferred part 17 to end it but if there is not gonna be another season (which i dont think there is gonna be) this is probably a better ending even though im not thrilled with it.

I hate to say this, but... respectfully... what, exactly, did you expect? This ending was just like the rest of the season: some answers, but a lot of new puzzles. I don't understand people being angry that the show ended the way the rest of the show has gone on. There is no closure in Lynch-world. And we'd be disappointed if there were.
About your specific questions, I think it's pretty clear that Annie was rescued by Coop at the end of S2 and got the hell out of TP. (I don't really care what happened to her, honestly, and I don't think Lynch does either.) Richard/Linda are somehow the alternate-universe names for Coop and Diane, as explained by the Giant in Ep 1. I think we're all still trying to figure it out.
What did you all expect? David Lynch to suddenly morph into a conventional storyteller?
This is surprising...but that's the beauty of Lynch.
Anyway, punch me all you want, but after a second viewing I love it.
Was fantastic, probably the most haunting last scene I've seen in a long time.
I love the fact that ep 18 was a Lynch movie, and not so much about Twin Peaks anymore.
I've spent my day feeling numb and with a sense of grief. Twin Peaks is yrev powerful TV. Thanks to Lynch, Frost and all involved.

Same here
Sheryl Lee gave another amazing performance, the last seconds, when she remembers, so powerful, yrev disturbing.
