As much as I love Harry S. Truman and Michael Ontkean and as much as I sympathise with your desire to see him again (I, too, wish he were here in Twin Peaks again!), I'm sure he had his reasons to not come back 🙁

I think we should respect his wish to remain in retirement, although I certainly would be happy to see him on screen again!
Not sure a season 4 fits with the logic of The Return
The show is done. Filming wrapped about a year-and-a-half ago. Lynch finished putting together the episodes before The Return began airing. It is, at this point, pretty unlikely there will be a season 4.
A petition to bring back Ontkean would be useless at this point.
Are you really sure he won't come back for another season? It hardly seems sensible that the entire 25 year later story could be satisfactoraly wrapped up in the last two episodes. Lynch spent so much time gassing around with long freakish scenes and the fans are on fire....

I don't think it's a valid information at all.
The point here is obviously not to wrap things up, the whol return is a fight against people who want things wrapped up, the same ones who just wanted to know who had killed Laura Palmer, according to a sad and rather uninteresting Question/Answer logic. The Return is a deliberate fight against this logic, so there's no question of wrapping anything up here, or of Lynch gassing around, quite the opposite, Dougie is the real thing in Twin Peaks 2017, Point. It's time for "fans on fire" to forget about what they want Lynch to do for them. He's not a butler.

Please don't post things like this unless they are real or come from reliable sources. I've checked around and can't find anything to support this claim. Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
