The real mystery is how Janey-E and Sonny Jim are dressed. Yellow coat with green shirt...and does her dress have some red in it? Red, yellow and green. Same colors as the scarab. Which are also colors found in Diane's clothes. And Dougie's clothing too.

i highly doubt this is coicidink.
sure there is lots of egyptian themes in vegas, but this whole scene had almost kubrickesque significance...at least we all know lynch likes his symbols, and this slot machine is just perfectly set...
