That's a thought ... but I have a feeling the mouth frog is not meant to bring rebirth or anything positive.... but I could be wrong. I think in this case as stated above it's to say things will work out for this family we have all come to love....they have gone thru a rebirth as a family and I think that will continue in a positive way for them.

And Dougie is going to be rebirthed/resurrected (presumably) to continue on with the family's rebirth caused by Cooper.

I don't know that rebirth has to be positive. Whatever that evil thing was, it was being reborn as something new.

Could well be a real one. You know how Lynch is with happy accidents? Maybe he noticed that one machine and decided to do the take where it would be seen as the camera pulled away.
