I still believe that 430 was the frequency of the Tibetan singing bowl that ultimately woke him from the coma.

I do too, but seeing 16:32 on that phone got me thinking. And now that I realize 15:50 is earlier than 16:32, I'm all confused. (Us silly Americans with our AM/PM clocks.)

The frequency of the bowl is 312Hz (E-flat 4)

Also, it's not the same phone!
That is, if we reject any possibility for continuity errors in the show...

Actually Diane receved a second one while she was talking to the blue rose team. The first one contains also the answer, the second doesn't (it was received just before the shooting...)

I notice that too!

Also note, the first one is a text, the second one is an iMessage. Which is maybe random, maybe not?

From her reaction (and then the revelation she was a tulpa), I think BadCoop's texts were some sort of programming he did to Diane.

same here

its the message that pushes her to move and try to kill them

but a part of her (good original diane) remembers what really happened and doesnt want to do it

Assuming that the clues are related to one another (which I am not certain of- the "Giant"'s first clues in s2e1 were not connected.

But if Diane (the real Diane?) has a child, and that child is Linda, the circle closes.

What about the Linda mentioned in The Fat Trout?

I know more than one Linda. I don't think any of them are the ones referred to by the Fireman (but I could be wrong. THAT would be a 4th wall break!).

Also one message ends with a full stop (period) and the other doesn't.

So we have three different time stamps: 16.31, 16.44 (apparently on different phones in the same scene - must be a continuity error mustn't it?) and at 15.50. What a mess. -

Then there's Mr.C's undelivered message at 02.05. What was blocking it? His phone had a signal...

Hate to be a bummer but it's pretty hard to get iMessage or a text message to say what you want it to. You would have to unlock the phone and dig into the code of the app.  Which would be notoriously difficult.

Or do some digital imaging on the stem with the iPhones being used. (Expensive)

The thought process on set would be let's get the second unit to grab some roll of the phones just in case we need it later.

This might just happen whenever the second unit hits it in their checklist for the day after everyone goes home.

Or even in the editing suite in post.

Or you roll B at the time you want the next day, or any other day.

Maybe they didn't think that people would dissect each frame looking for clues. Or maybe they did...

Quiet, you.  They don't film.  There's no script.  They just gather and the lights go crazy and the shit gets did.  And it's exactly how it's meant to be.  How it's always been.

(P.S. - I don't buy continuity error.  Devil in the detail)

Mr. C sent the (-: ALL text at 16:31, and Diane read it at 16:32. This means that Richard fried at 16:30.

Is the timing significant? IS this 430? Any reason to think this is the same time Dale work up (and can I just ssy how nice it is to type the words "Dale woke up?)?

Theresa Banks' autopsy also took place at 4:30. No idea if it's connected, but this time / number keeps recurring, and important enough the Fireman asked Coop to remember it.

Continuity error?

I think I can see Lynch&Frost throwing in this continuity error just for fun of watching fans trying to come up with explanations 😀

I thought he was telling Diane to give him ALL of the numbers of the coordinates, since he saw that the coordinates he had received from two sources were actually a trap.

Perhaps this has been covered in what has now been a pretty long thread, but remember- Mr. C has MANY phones, given by the "farm" boys.

From her reaction (and then the revelation she was a tulpa), I think BadCoop's texts were some sort of programming he did to Diane.

Ever ever since she saw Mr. C. in prison, I've thought the same thing.

Pseudo-Diane was incredibly secretive about any communication with him. It came off, to me, as a Stockholm Syndrome thing. The looks they exchange were almost explicit in saying, Rape."

I started watching closely and the programming theory is the only one I could come up with.

His final message of ":-) ALL." was absolutely a code for, "Kill the Blue Rose Squad and ALL people associated with Mr. C. and anyone in the periphery of his wake."
