I have two theories about Cooper driving. As the end gets closer, I have trouble wondering why Cooper would be alone in a car and not with Gordon and company after waking up from his Dougie state.
1) It's not the real Cooper. Instead it is Mr. C who, after a talk with Richard Horne, gets a haircut and new suit and heads to the location of the coordinates: Twin Peaks. There he will pretend to be good old Coop and get the help he needs wants from the people of TP in order to finally get what he's been after.
2) After being electrocuted, Cooper finally wakes up. Following a scene of him making sense of where he is and Janey-E trying to convince him to stay, he will take off in the new car provided by the Mitchum brothers and head for Twin Peaks.
The questions after that would be why he would directly head to Twin Peaks? There's also the fact that he'd probably try to make contact with Gordon Cole immediately. What are your interpretations?

He's been tasked with finding Laura by Leland. It makes sense that he'd head to where it all began. But he's probably gonna have another visit with the Fireman before he fully wakes. He may tell him to head directly to Twin Peaks.
Also, His irises are brown in the trailer, not black.
I think you're on to it. He'll (Dopple) dress up like the old Coop and pretend to be him, but then thanks to his electrocution, DougieCoop will wind up being discovered and brought to the FBI.

I think that's the most likely scenario. Guess he's wearing contact lenses, along with the suit.

Agree. I've seen it suggested that it will come down to two identical Coopers in Twin Peaks with the residents and viewers confused as to which is which (Maybe Audrey will solve that question ???). While I hope not, I can see the show ending with us not knowing which one survived.
I think we're in for a blind blowing last 3 hours.

Remember Andy's flash forward? Maybe they have Mr C, posing as Coop, locked up in the cells. He takes Lucy to give him the once over.
Maybe.

Totally. From good few weeks I WANT to see this scene: Mr C arrives to some cheesy motel on the lost highway, seats in front of the mirror (a little Bob reflection, I don't mind), cuts his hair off, put on the suit and last but not the least, removes his black lenses revealing the faded- cataract doppelganger's style irises, then puts brown Cooper's style lenses. And he's ready to go to Twin Peaks.
I think it is Cooper after he wakes up (probably after a visit to the fireman again) driving with instructions to find reincarnated Laura and take her to Twin Peaks to confront whatever is inside her mom Sarah and Mr.C.
I agree he pretends to be the old Cooper, his eyes look darker than the real Coop.

One of my thoughts similar to this is that evil and real Cooper will meet over the Twin Peaks waterfall (which has been shown a million times since the beginning) and battle it out.... ala Sherlock and Moriaty.
But I do like the thought that both will be there looking exactly alike and nobody knows which one is which.
I continue to believe that Mr. C is incapable of effectively pretending to be Dale, as evidenced by his two previous attempts in prison- the only times when his voice became odd and slow, his movements stiff and arificial, and the only time he uttered a word backwards.

I have two different ideas about that. One is he didn't even attempt to pass himself off, and was taunting Cole. Why? Beats me, probably because he could.
The other... Cole is very used to dealing with these sorts of things and Mr C, knowing this, was scared.
Maybe he will be more relaxed when he's with the hicks in Twin Peaks. Until he meets Andy and Green Glove Man, Hawk and, well anyone who has a bit of knowledge.

And maybe the slow voice is a perception not how it is or was but how it was perceived. So Cole knew something was up, and we are given that perception shown to us instead of explained fully to us. By having the altered voice we don't get exposition from Cole saying there is something off more than what he did here. What is real and what is perceived is a theme of this in presentation and story.

Hi Travis,
I'll go with what's behind Door (Portal) Number One, Monty!
Remember that Richard knows exactly what Cooper looks like because of the photograph his sainted Mother Audrey displayed with such devotion. =:-O
(Probably with the same Men-in-Black outfit, too - Special Agent Dale Cooper's superhero suit.) 😉
(with apologies to Def Leppard:)
I'm out a luck, out a love
Gotta photograph, picture of
Passion killer, you're too much
You're the only one I want to touch
I see your face every time I dream
On every page, every magazine
So wild and free so far from me
You're all I want, my fantasy
You got some kinda hold on me
You're all wrapped up in mystery
So wild so free and far from me
You're all I want, my fantasy
I gotta have you
Photograph I don't want your
Photograph I don't need your
Photograph all I've got is a photograph
You've gone straight to my head
There. Now get that earworm out of your head! 😉

Yeah, I brought this up in the part 9 or 10 discussion on this topic. It left a bad taste in several of posters mouths. I'm neutral on it I guess. Hoping it is delivered creatively if it happens. I wonder now though if Andy already knows which is the real Coop (assuming it plays out this way of course).
