It's possible that Audrey may be experiencing a similar experience to Betty from Mulholland Drive. Perhaps  Charlie isn't her husband but a metaphor for cocaine. Are her scenes hallucinations caused by drug abuse? Can we expect the real Audrey to appear soon as a drug addict?

Hehe, that would be a good one.

Although, to suffer from cocaine psychosis, she'd have to take a hell of a lot and as a consequence, be thinner than a bag of very thin things.  Think of Bowie during the mid to late 1970s.  He was skeletal.  Ms Fenn most definitely ain't skeletal, in fact she looks just about right to me.

Good point. I saw a Bowie doc the other night on BBC4 and he looked very thin.

Although not all drug addicts are beanpoles. Philip Seymour Hoffman, Chris Farley & John Belushi were all famous heavy set celebrities with serious addictions.

Fair point but usually if you're exclusively into coke, you lose your appetite and get thin.

An ex gf used the stuff.  She wasn't skinny but slim.  Showed me photos of her from years before and she was quite a lot bigger.  Now a successful author, not that it's relevant but I'm glad things worked out.
