Did Cooper kill himself? It seemed "Gordon Cole" in the Sunset Boulveard movie was enough to wake real Cooper up. I'm not sure what the motive was to stick the fork in the outlet. Did he think he would travel? Can someone enlighten me?

Coop snapped out of it and was trying to get out of there the same way he got in there
I guess, after coming out of an outlet, he felt some sort of "call" from it (in this cases, 'listening to the sounds' is fundamental).
"Get Gordon Cole" got his attention.
Loathe to predict though I am, no, I do not think Dale is dead.
Steven? Dead.

The first crackle of electricity I heard, "He's going to stick his fork in an outlet" entered my brain. In the part 14 discussion someone predicted he would get tazed and wake up . . . Pretty close.

I wondered if Steven committed suicide as well. Is that what you think?
I felt no suspense during the Steven scene, because, in order to feel suspense, you have to care about the character. Or, at the very least, not actively dislike them. So, yeah, hopefully Steven's dead.
However, on a show that has not demurred from showing people graphically dying, the fact that we don't actually see Steven dead is.... perhaps cause for concern.
As for Dougie, I believe that the outlet/electricity will somehow bring him back fully.
I do think Steven committed suicide. The man who saw Steven and Gersten together made it back to Fat Trout, and we saw that Gersten wasn't shot. I doubt Steven just shot at a tree or a deer. I do think he killed himself.
Dougie certainly had an inquisitive look on his face. Talk about sticking a fork in it. Yikes!

Good catch. I missed that (hate watching while at work).

Yeah-- it was a different look than I've ever seen on "Dougie's" face. This look had the look of DALE's face. It had the look of intensity. It didn't look blank anymore.
This scene just confirms Lynch's genius. I would never have expected that this is how Cooper would (presumably) wake up! Yet it seems so fitting and makes so much sense, especially with electricity being a key motif. And of course a familiar name would be the catalyst. All while watching a classic film, Sunset Blvd...Thank goodness for TCM!
He didn't try (or succeed) to kill himself. I'd guess "Gordon Cole" stirred very strong memory and emotion, leading Cooper to desperately try and reconnect with the lost parts of himself.. parts he instinctively knows were left behind in a realm accessible through electrical current.. Let's hope it works!

Agree. Mark Frost also deserves some recognition.

Yes. But I think he is still in the house and Chantal is probably on the way there. Dale will survive but I have an idea how things may end for Janey-E.
