It always helps if you have dry skin when getting electric shocks.  Luckily, I inherited that from my dad.  Had my first shock as a kid, when I stuck my fingers in a light socket.  Felt like something bit me and I couldn't understand why my parents were angry at my grandparents for having a lamp with no bulb plugged in and switched on.  Now, of course, I understand why.

Had several more since then, some of them from industrial mains, which while not particularly nice, didn't cause any injuries.

Needless to say, I take a plug in RCD with me in my gig box, since some venues have very dodgy wiring.  Being a guitarist and singer means you're much more likely to get fried.

THAT explains it!

Here's a weird idea, and wouldn't it be quite the plot twist:

What if the electrical shock switches places between Bad Coop and Good Coop, so that now Bad Coop wakes up as Dougie Jones and Good Coop suddenly finds himself driving along with Richard Horne?  That would perhaps lead to Chantal and Hutch trying to assassinate Bad Coop, and Gordon and crew thinking Good Coop is Bad Coop next time they see him.

I'd really enjoy seeing Mr C with a WTF(!) look on his face.

I find this very intriguing!

I've been reading this great forum without registration for quite some time already, and I registered just to like this post. Nice theory!:)

That would be something.  Nice idea.

I never cheered so hard for someone to stick a fork in an electrical outlet! Only Lynch can make you do something like that when your fav character is trying to electrocute himself ?

I was so afraid that Janey-E was going to stop him, I kept cheering "Go Coop!! Don't Stop!" then I screamed "YES!!" at my TV when Janey-E started screaming and Coop fell to the floor...

I suspect DougieCoop will be in the hospital through the next part, and will "wake up" in either part 17 or 18.

So do you imagine a visit from Cole & Co. at the hospital?

Won't that be fun, with all those sick people and Cole yelling his head off, Albert faffing around with all the medical gear and Tammy inducing heart attacks in the coronary patients?

The comedy potential is enormous.

It's a good thing he had the fork in his right hand. If he had inserted the end of the fork in the hot slot with his left & was grounded on the floor with his right hand, the current would have passed thru his heart.
