Can anyone guess or see better what Andy is holding in his hands in the White Lodge while having his vision?
Wondering the same exact thing: whatever it is, it smokes. It had several angles to it, and looked possibly made of clay or cardboard. Tough to tell in B&W.
Imagine the white dome over his head was the pensieve. He was holding the memory (information, etc.). The thing he is holding is called a natan.
I made that last part up. (-;
what the hell???
I looked closely during my second viewing (west coast time) and it actually looked like an open face cheese sandwich...
What is it?
The jumping man's nose.
That's the first thing I thought of as well, was the mask that Mrs. Tremond's grandson wore.
David Lynch made another sculpture during a bout of insomnia. They show up in nearly every film. Half the lamps in this show came out of his brain.
I don't know what the thing is called, but it contained all of the images that were shown to Andy. The smoke came out of it and went onto the screen above him, then went back into it and it disappeared.
lol DEFINITELY this
What is it?
The jumping man's nose.
Yup. Holy beans.

His furniture & things are in at least nearly all his films.
What is it?
The jumping man's nose.
I just thought, "that looks like a sculpture that David Lynch would make." It's also functional as well, as my next thought was, "it's the pure heroin version of a genie in a bottle." Yet it's not a genie at all that is released, but a window into the world of interdimensional goingson for decades. Andy wasn't granted three wishes but he sure was granted an important role with lots of responsibility.
IT IS A BLUE ROSE!
