If you were trying to protect someone you know is being marked for death by people would an open cell in the general population area make sense to you?
I mean god sake people, isolate her in the drunk tank so that no one else can see she is there. We know they have them, Leland died in one. Hell, put Andy manning the door to it.
Because the local hospitals have a bad reputation? People there don't get better, they get dead.
What's her name, the school teacher Richard tried to kill, she got better in a TP hospital. I'm just sayin...
We don't know that. Last we heard, she needed surgery. Who knows how that went.
Oh. Oh. I guess she could give testimony and then still pass on.
In any case, she has been quite a hero this season.
It seemed to me that the drunk was repeating the noises Naido and Chad were making. The question in my mind is why would he be in a cell, and not in a hospital?
It seems to me that this person was sending a message. Either communicating to Naido using sounds similar to the stuttering, back and forth speak she uses or communicating into the ether that Naido was there. Maybe people in the waiting room or the black lodge or Mr. C's people can pick it up. A few more thoughts:
- Other than the code, the Drunk was just repeating whatever was said - Like Good Coop/Dougie Jones
- The Code speaking sounds an awful lot like dolphin noises
- Maybe this is Naido's way, but if she was being spoken to through the drunk in a positive way, I would have thought she would have been more at ease. It seemed to agitate her - can she understand she's being dimed out? Does agitated just mean the way she's processing the information.
- Maybe, the drunk (and the sick girl in the car) are related to whatever is going on with Red and maybe the drunk is sending a message to Red that Chad was caught - Maybe Naido can hear it and picks up on what's about to happen.
Always a lot to think about as usual
That drunk is freaking scary.
And I worry for Naido with him there. Hopefully Andy doesn't come back and find her dead.
And here I just wanted to hand him a wet wipe

It has been inferred that she may not be entirely on the level. Remember that giant tip she left Shelley?
Plus her and Red clearly know each other and more than just small town familiarity.
Regarding hospital... recall everyone's theory about what Mr. C did to a woman in a hospital 25 years ago. Andy seems to be enlightened by the Fireman, so I'm trusting he did the right thing.

Something can be implied. Someone can then infer it. So, I don't think what you're saying about her was implied. You might have inferred it, but I'm curious as to how/why? Just because of a tip she left?
And can you please remind me of the scene between her and Red? I either missed that or don't remember it.
It's still only a theory. He was seen coming out of Audrey's room (or was it going in?) Nobody knows what happened inside that room. Mr C might have just been looking for gauze and cotton swabs the pilfer.
...Oil, rather than blood, seems to be leaking from his mouth...
I noticed the oil stuff too and it seems to be the same oil coming from the mouth of the sick girl in the car outside the RR a few episodes ago...
I thought it was puss or bile or drool.
Hi Brandy,
My first thought was chewing tobacco juice, even though I was expecting to see blood. Not that tobacco droolings would mean anything! 😉

I am going to guess there are parallel universes overlapping for people who have had lodge dealings and perhaps even specific to certain places like The Roadhouse (which is called the Bang Bang Bar in another reality and actually looks like a decent place in daylight).
(I don't really believe this but nothing would surprise me with this show.)
Part of me thinks that this could be Billy from the story Tina's daughter was telling, but then there is always the little bit of doubt that it could be someone else, I am still leaning to Billy...

Grammar man!
Clearly, Brandy DID infer it, and tells us that they infer it, in part, from the big tip. I am not sure I susbcribe to the theory, but she DOES seem to know Richard when he comes to her trailer, as something more than "thatguy who ran down the kid".
What might one infer from that?

Perhaps Brandy meant Richard rather than Red. Richard and Miriam clearly have more than a small town familiarity. Richard's call to Chad certainly suggested the three of them were somewhat familar: "That little B Miriam...."
Shelly's comment about the tip suggested that Miriam had more money that you'd expect for a nursery school teacher. However, her modest home suggests that Miriam was overly generous with her tips given her likely salary.
Who knows if she was or wasn't involved in the sparkle-biz. Maybe she was childhood friends with Richard and was trying to set him on the straight and narrow. Maybe she was a heinous drug dealer.

Thanks MJ. 🙂
I never said there was a scene between Richard and Miriam. But there was, as MJ already more than implied.
BTW, when did we start giving out "lessons" on this forum. What happened to the last dude who tried to pedant about? Something about "theory?" Was that you Matthew?
Infer - deduce or conclude (information) from evidence and reasoning rather than from explicit statements.
