Around the dinner table, the conversation was lively. Thank you but for now, the forum has been archived.
Kee-Rist! Just viewed the pic.
I have never once, ever, absolutely zero times, seen anyone look good after cosmetic surgery. Are there really so many bad cosmetic surgeons out there, or is there something that happens to people that makes them think, "I know, I'll go and pay out a lot of money to make myself look like I've been hit in the face with a tent mallet"?
What the actual bright blue blinking flip are these people thinking?
There's this belief that through surgery one can somehow beat Father Time and recapture the magic of lost youth. For some reason, there are those who are afraid of wrinkles and growing old, like it's a disease.
Edit: Society and peer pressure also play a role. If you're a model, actress, celeb, people expect you to look a certain way. The older you get the harder it is to find a role / job in the biz, so they go under the knife.
Yep, hopeless sentiment coming from my log. Sometimes, it gets that sappy feeling again.
She actually gets worse, more recent pics show fare more damage than in that one.
Are we led to believe now that Gersten is a drug addict? Do we know nothing other than that she's at least allied on some level with Steven Burnett?

At this point we can only speculate. Since that isn't part of the main plot line it might not get answered.
Would love to know more about these snippets though. The thing about this show is that even characters with few scenes draw you in, make you want to learn more.

You're asking the wrong questions. Surely the question should be is Twin Peaks so short of men that two very good looking women are both with a skinny, scruffy, coke-headed waster like Steven?

Everyone's too busy dating Shelly.

Maybe. I mean, Pete's no longer around.
In reality there would be no mention of Donna because everyone already knows what's going on (as a previous poster mentioned).
However, someone visiting Twin Peaks - Gordon, Albert, etc - might perhaps ask.
Maybe we're heading that way. But it would only be for fan service. Personally, I'd like to know what her character is up to.
I can't see a cameo from LFB ever happening. Moira Kelly would be cool to see. Personally, I think LFB lost any privileges to appear when she started dictating the storyline out of her own personal issues.
But anyway. Finding out what her character is up to would give us a bit of closure.

Here's a wacky theory. Becky's a drug addict and the current generation's version of Laura Palmer. Steven is the frustrated cuckold, working undercover with Gersten (who is an agent of some sort) to get to the bottom of the drug trade and other strangeness in Twin Peaks (since in more than a quarter of a century the Sheriff's department has failed to do so).
As for Donna, I never liked the character in the original series and don't really miss her. Moira Kelly's version of Donna in FWWM was more tolerable but I'm still not a great fan of the character.
