Around the dinner table, the conversation was lively. Thank you but for now, the forum has been archived.
I've been sitting on this for awhile, but I sometimes get the feeling there are some strong parallels with the Frankenstein concept in Twin Peaks. There is much made of how the Frankenstein story is in part about fear that man is pushing the limits of their world (think advancements in medicine for the original story) beyond natural law. As I watched episode 8 I was overtaken with this feeling as we are suggested that atomic energy is another moment of man pushing another limit.
Interesting idea. The electricity from lightning creating the monster in Frankenstein, and electricity is a medium through which the lodge entities travel.
I think the idea is older than that; possibly the subtitle of Frankenstien; A Modern Prometheus would be more appropriate.
We steal the fire from the gods and pay the price.
Just be careful if you start to get liver problems.
