Around the dinner table, the conversation was lively. Thank you but for now, the forum has been archived.

Is this just tabloid refuse, or legitimate? Ironically posted the same day as Showtime is open to more Twin Peaks if David Lynch is
This short & misleading post is from a Wordpress blog, most likely Clickbait. Until I hear it from Showtime themselves, it's not true/official.

Showtime's Twin Peaks revival is likely to run its 18-episode course and close up shop for good.
"I don't think so, but it's not impossible. [David Lynch and I are] both avoiding the conversation for a while; we want to let the story coalesce and see how people feel at the end," Showtime CEO David Nevins told reporters Monday night at the Television Critics Association's summer press tour event on the Paramount lot.

Thought it might be something like that. I'm ashamed to have sullied this thread with the post. Sorry, everyone. (damn, I keep thinking everything on the interwebs is true!)

I know. I was posting the part actually from showtime.
His verbiage in that and the later article is quote odd though. My thought is he knows lynch is done so he worded it like he did to give false hope/keep people interested.
I almost think it would be best for it to end. Since the end of filming for this season we have lost Albert and the Log Lady actors (RIP). Now I could see a spin off with Kyle reprising Dale Cooper but I think this here right now is a proper send off and closure for the show.
Of course, this could all be hype. Imagine if they had actually filmed 36 episodes and the 4th season is already done? I highly doubt it, but it would be funny if that was true.

Please say this can be true?
I've tried very hard to live according to the Tojamura code: "I find adherence to fantasy troubling and unreasonable." Now, you've set me back in my therapy since I won't be able to stop wishing it could be true.
Well, just think, if they had filmed a 4th season already, do you think they would tell us about it? Of course not! They know that we would complain if there was a break between the two seasons that were already filmed.
But then you could say that we are already watching season 4. Originally it was only meant to be 9 episodes anyway, but Lynch extended it to 18 episodes. I seem to remember there being some rumours a while back that it might be two seasons of 9 episodes.

Uh, they absolutely would have told the public there's a season 4 filmed. That would tell people they feel it's a success and would bring in more interest.
You're in dreamville if you think a fourth season was filmed and they are just holding that info from us.
