Around the dinner table, the conversation was lively. Thank you but for now, the forum has been archived.
Hi All,
I just realized that Renee, the woman crying while listening to James play "Just You" is the same one that was out drinking tequila shots with Shelly and friends in Part 2.
And that she has a blue rose tattoo. =:-O
(with apologies to The Angels (wanna wear my red shoes ;-)))
My boyfriend's back and you're gonna be in trouble
(Hey-la-day-la my boyfriend's back)
You see him comin' better cut out on the double
(Hey-la-day-la my boyfriend's back)
You been spreading lies that I was untrue
(Hey-la-day-la my boyfriend's back)
So look out now cause he's comin' after you

I knew i had seen her before! the guys on Drink full and decsend Podcast mentioned her too.
Glad she ignored that other Mean Girl who said there was something wrong with him. Maybe, if he can be in a happy fulfilling relationship, he won't feel like he needs to pour out his feelings in song anymore.

Well not in this one (hopefully) then again he had that motorcycle accident so.. meh he's cool ! he's always been cool (sure has been quiet tho, not many lines for him yet)
Her framing is very strange/unconventional. She is obviously sitting with (and talking to) someone off-screen. Lynch focuses instead on including the woman sitting behind her. Could (i) simply be to contrast their different/opposite responses and/or (ii) using the blond's neutral/negative expression to intensify-by-resetting our responses to Renee's crying. Lynch then cuts to a similar looking woman with a similar expression in the crowd in front of the stage.
Also remember that she's sitting in the place of Donna from the original series when she discovered Maddie was killed.

We know that there are doubts floating around Renee regarding James from her friends, which may influence her treatment of James. Renee is wearing the 'closed circle' necklace(enjoyment is perfect, dont have to see problems, that there are 'no stars', nothing 'tearing the thread' or breaking the circle, everything is great, just feel good and have fun, etc., forget about the consequences and problems). This is the same necklace that Shelly, Norma, Beverly, Audrey, and Dougie's secretary(who let him into the bathroom) were wearing. All of these female characters have tendencies to betray and damage the men who are courting them, leading them on, using them, then dumping them, on a whim of happiness or for some 'money man'(Beverly humiliating her husband on his death bed to cheat with Ben, Shelly with Red, Norma with Walter, etc.). This got Big Ed to burn his coordinates, he was obviously devastated, same with Bobby; but how will James react if the same happens to him? Will the congressmen's dilemma emerge here in its full cycle(first the 'jewel' girl or vamp, then the plyers/motorcycle wreck/burning the coordinates, then being blue and seeing new girls, then becoming a helpless boy completely relying on the woman like 'mother', like Bobby walking into the RR in the last episode, followed by betrayal, then reach for gun(norman bates), finally magic beans(become Mr. C, sell the farm))?
