So all the distortions of reality we have witnessed so far are coming from these three elements. And I'm definitely paying  more attention to them from now on. I guess it's not a coincidence that each one is related to a evil entity:

BOB-TheTreeDopplenganger-Woodsmen

Human world is looking more and more affected/invaded and we have that black symbol (we don't wanna know about) on Briggs' papers, next to the coordinates and the dates. Are we getting closer to an apocalypse attempt by these three evil entities in the final episode? Is the very first scene in the white lodge (?) actually the last scene of it all or just one scene from the finale?

I'll add another coincidence nobody pointed out yet,  strangely.

10/02 is also the day of time's corruption in Donnie Darko. Actually the night between 10/01 and 10/02

AND THAT BLACK SYMBOL LOOKS LIKE A RABBIT!

I really hope not.  Much as I enjoyed DD in its own right, it would be the mother of all cop outs to use that device for Twin Peaks.  I think it would do lasting damage to Lynch's reputation into the bargain.

Well it could be just a reference (Meta-reference). I can see a similarity between Laura and Donnie by the way

The ring symbol has been compared to Frank, the bunny in the very beginning of this season.   🙂

Of course , he was compared to antman, animaniacs, and a few people's dogs (including mine.)

I agree with Detective Sam, it would indeed "be the mother of all lame ass cop outs" to go that same route.

I've thought this as well after seeing the b&w Giant/??????? scenes in episode 8.  When first seeing the b&w scenes in the first episode, there wasn't enough information to go on and was just thinking it was only a different way of showing the red waiting room.  After seeing episode 8 and then re-watching ep.1 again, I started thinking (worrying) that the opening scene was showing a part of what will be one of the very last scenes of the season.  I SO don't want this to be true, but my guess is this will be the scene where we finally see our real Agent Cooper getting re-inserted back into the world.
